I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! Where can I find a pair like yours?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How much do they go for?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
How is the fit?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They required minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also look great.
